About Us


AscendoSoft specializes in providing industry-leading software solutions and professional services to customers of all sizes including vertical markets, such as financials, higher education, healthcare, retail, etc.  AscendoSoft offers document management, address cleansing, and automation reporting products. Our Professional Services team provides business and IT consulting.

Our flagship product is DigitalDrawer, which is designed to allow any business in any industry to securely manage all of its records electronically, saving the company thousands of dollars each year. DigitalDrawer stores scanned files along with the company’s working documents such as Microsoft Word documents and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, utilizing DigitalDrawer’s complete version control technology.

By offering a document imaging system that is superior and less expensive to the competition, AscendoSoft is helping businesses of all sizes realize the benefits of a paperless office for a very affordable price.

Co-Founders

Alex Givens

Mr. Givens is responsible for Technology at AscendoSoft.  He is a Solutions Architect with an outstanding track record of defining customer/prospect technical issues and crafting relevant solutions.  Prior to co-founding AscendoSoft, Alex spent 13 years at AppWorx Corporation/UC4 Software Inc..  Alex was instrumental in architecting and/or building most vertical market solutions for AppWorx and successfully bringing those solutions to market.  He is widely experienced in a variety of areas including pre-sales engineering, professional services, product management, marketing, and partner management.  Alex is an accomplished public speaker, having spoken at several national and international IT and Application conferences.  Alex holds Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Washington.


Brian Miller

Mr. Miller is responsible for Operations at AscendoSoft and he brings with him 28 years of software experience.  Prior to co-founding AscendoSoft, Brian spent 9 years on the executive management team at AppWorx Corporation/UC4 Software Inc. where he established and managed Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Technical Support, and Product Marketing teams.  He has held various software development and management positions at Tivoli/IBM, XA Systems/Compuware, and Lockheed Martin.  Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology.


James Holck

Mr. Holck is responsible for Software and Solution Sales at AscendoSoft and brings over 16 years of software sales and marketing experience to AscendoSoft. Prior to co-founding AscendoSoft, Jim was at AppWorx Corporation/UC4 Software Inc. for 11 years. At AppWorx, Jim was a consistent sales contributor in various geographical and vertical markets such as higher education, credit unions, and public utilities. During his sales career, he has been regularly successful at exceeding his sales quota. Jim also was a strong sales contributor at Seek Systems and Sagent.  Jim holds a Business Administration degree from The University of Puget Sound.
